If you ever played a team sport, you’ll understand this analogy. When you have a pitcher who is not throwing strikes, what does the coach tell his batters? Don’t swing until he throws a strike. When a man is walked on four straight balls, the next batter knows not to swing at the first pitch. There are exceptions to these unwritten rules, but there aren’t many of them.

When the pitcher is doing you favors, don’t help him out!

Sarah Palin is calling for the bad pitcher to be taken out of the game when he’s losing the game. Why would we want to do this?

The following is from the film Moneyball (2011): “When your enemy is making mistakes, don’t interrupt him.”

The American people are finally catching on that President Obama is a disaster. Even the media are turning against him. Democrats in Red states don’t want to be seen with him.

This is good for our cause and as a result, good for America.

Impeachment proceedings would take a long time, energize the Democrat base, and draw attention away from the border disaster, the IRS scandal, and Obama’s overall incompetency.

Why would we want to do this?

Here’s what Sarah Palin has to say on the subject:

“President Obama’s rewarding of lawlessness, including his own, is the foundational problem here. It’s not going to get better, and in fact irreparable harm can be done in this lame-duck term as he continues to make up his own laws as he goes along, and, mark my words, will next meddle in the U.S. Court System with appointments that will forever change the basic interpretation of our Constitution’s role in protecting our rights.

“It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.

“The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored. If after all this he’s not impeachable, then no one is.”

Do we think any of this would change with crazy Joe Biden as President? Absolutely not. Palin is wrong on this one. We’ve got a good thing going here; don’t blow it on a failed impeachment attempt.

There’s a good chance that if Obama was impeached that there would be riots in the streets similar to those that took place in 1992:

“The 1992 Los Angeles Riots, also known as the Rodney King Riots, the South Central Riots, the 1992 Los Angeles Civil Disturbance, and the 1992 Los Angeles Civil Unrest, were a series of riots, lootings, arsons and civil disturbance that occurred in Los Angeles County, California in 1992, following the acquittal of police officers on trial regarding a videotaped and widely-covered police brutality incident. They were the largest riots seen in the United States since the 1960s and the worst in terms of death toll after the New York City draft riots in 1863.”

Black Americans would see the impeachment of President Obama as a reinforcement of the false meme that Republicans are racists. They only oppose Obama and his policies because he’s black.

The media would shift attention away from the scandals that they are finally reporting on and concentrate on how the GOP is obstructionist and racist.

Drop the impeachment talk. When you’ve got a pitcher walking players, hitting batters, and lobbing some sweet strikes, how could you ask for anything more?
