The Self-Destruction of Once Great Nations: Is America Next?

France is about to die by its own hand. First, there’s a new wealth tax. Recently elected French President Francois Hollande proposed a budget that will raise taxes on the rich and big companies that will result in an increase of $20 billion euros ($26 billion) that includes “a levy of 75 percent on incomes over 1 million euros [$1.29 million], and eliminating limits on the wealth tax.” The tax will make companies think hard about setting up business in France. The higher tax rates will have a ripple effect on the economy. “Entrepreneurs and opposition politicians say the levy will drive talent and capital out of France and worsen the country’s economic slump.”

It’s not just France that is killing its economy. Germany is seeing popular protests against the wealthy.

“Thousands of people across Germany have protested for the introduction of taxes on wealth and financial transactions. Organizers said Saturday around 40,000 people took to the streets in 40 cities to demand a more equal society.

“The organizers — including unions, civil society groups and the anti-globalization group Attac — demand a permanent tax on people’s wealth ‘to have rich households contribute significantly more.’”

Second, while France is suffering through a fiscal crisis, the new Socialist government is promising to pay for 100 percent of abortion costs.

“The move follows a long campaign by pro-choice organisations and was a manifesto promise by Socialist President Francois Hollande ahead of his election victory in June. . . . As well as promising to ensure the costs of abortion are fully covered, Hollande’s election manifesto included a pledge to ensure terminations were available at every major hospital across the country.

“Abortion is available on request in France up to the 12th week of a pregnancy under legislation that was introduced in 1975 and enjoys widespread support across the political spectrum.”

Abortion on demand and paid for by confiscated tax money is a form of self-guillotining. Not only do high taxes drive out entrepreneurs but abortion kills off the future.

France will have to rely on immigration to make up the shortfall in employment. That shortfall will most likely come from Islamic nations that come to France for its liberal social welfare programs. In the end, France will be taken over by Muslims if the birth dearth continues. A 2010 study “concluded that France has 2.1 million ‘declared Muslims’ including between 70,000 and 110,000 converts to Islam.” These numbers are on the low side. “A Pew Forum study, published in January 2011, estimated 4.7 million Muslims in France in 2010 (and forecasted 6.9 million in 2030). According to Jean-Paul Gourévitch, there were 7 million Muslims in France in 2007.”

If the number is somewhere in the middle — around 4 million —there are still a lot of Muslims in France, and the majority of Muslims do not get abortions, and they don’t care about French history, culture, or language. They’re like the Borg. “Resistance is futile,” unless there is the will to resist.

Similar trends are happening in the United States. This election will tell us if we have the will to resist the coming darkness.
