In 2009 children for Obama made the news. It was a video of school children singing songs to what the people at Fox said was to “Obama’s glory.”

Then the leader calls on the children to sing the song. The lyrics appear to include:

Hello Mr. President, we honor you today
For all your great accomplishments, we all do say hooray
Hooray, Mr. President you are No. 1

I’m not sure what the President’s accomplishments were in March of 2009, three months after he was sworn into office.

There’s a new children’s video out that’s being used as a campaign advertisement. It’s a little scary to see children, impressionable as they are, being used as political props. How many times have we heard liberals argue that there shouldn’t be commercials aimed at children or prayers in government schools because children are a “captive audience.” So what should we say when teachers round up children to support a political candidate?

There’s a creepy, scary prop-video starring children that is a propaganda piece of the first order. It reminds me of Village of the Damned (1960). Here are a couple of lines:

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you

Who are the children blaming? Who are the “you”? The last line says it all: “Mom and Dad. We’re blaming you!”

Will the new Obama Youth turn in their parents if they don’t recycle or purchase an electric car? What if they say negative things about abortion and homosexual rights? Will the parents be turned in to some newly formed government oversight agency? Obama is saying that he’s going to appoint a Secretary of Business if he gets re-elected. Maybe he’s thinking about creating a Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda.
