Ted Cruz Shows that Liberals Hate Facts
Ted Cruz is the smartest guy running for President. He’s the most tenacious as well. He’s a bulldog with a mild manner. That’s why liberals and RINOs hate him and fear him.
I can’t understand why he’s not higher in the polls. He would do the best in one-on-one debates.
The video clip below shows Sen. Ted Cruz at work. Notice how he does not relent or move off topic. See how he deals with Democrat Sen. Chris Coons who tries to rescue Sierra Club President Aaron Mair who could not answer Sen. Cruz’s simple question about 18 years of almost no temperature increase.
Instead of evaluating the issue of “Global Warming” based on the facts, Mr. Mair defaulted to the false claim that 97% of scientists have concluded that humans are the cause or source (anthropogenic) of the fictional malady as fact. Here’s what he was actually saying: “Don’t confuse me with the facts. There was one article out there that made the 97% claim, and the Sierra Club has hitched its horse to it. If the 97% claim goes down, the entire Global Warming narrative will prove to be false and we’ll no longer be able to raise money on the lie.”
Here’s some factual information on the source of the 97% lie and nearly 100 articles that question the claim:
“The 97% ‘consensus’ study, Cook et al. (2013) has been thoroughly refuted in scholarly peer-reviewed journals, by major news media, public policy organizations and think tanks, highly credentialed scientists and extensively in the climate blogosphere. The shoddy methodology of Cook’s study has been shown to be so fatally flawed that well known climate scientists have publicly spoken out against it.”
The fact that Mr. Mair was not familiar with the article “97 Articles Refuting The ‘97% Consensus’” is an indictment of his entire testimony. He was over matched by Sen. Cruz. It was embarrassing to watch.
Will any of this change the Global Warming narrative? No.
Liberals hate facts because they get in the way of their policy pursuits. That’s why people like Nancy Pelosi won’t watch the undercover Planned Parenthood videos. That way she can claim plausible deniability.
When CNS News reporter Sam Dorman asked Nancy Pelosi whether “an unborn baby with a human heart and a human liver [is] a human being,” she said she was a good Catholic and had children of her own, which did not answer the question. Obviously frustrated she shot back, “I do not intend to respond to your questions, which have no basis in what public policy is that we do here.”
The fact is, the question gets to the heart of the public policy that she and others are doing.
