Nancy Brinker: “Just When I Thought I Was Out They Pull Me Back In.”

The reaction to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for dropping its financial support for Planned Parenthood was staggering but expected. Liberals are always incensed that someone from the guild would tamper with one of their sacramental institutions.

I predicted that outside pressure would force the Komen Foundation to change its mind on the matter. The destructive Left is a bully to anyone who dares oppose any of their sacred causes. Abortion is a bloody sacrament. It’s a covenant with death that Liberals gladly take part in. The following is from The Blaze:

In a statement, Komen for the Cure Founder and CEO Nancy Brinker apologized for “recent decisions” and said the organization would continue to fund Planned Parenthood.

“We want to apologize to the American public for recent decisions that cast doubt upon our commitment to our mission of saving women’s lives,” Brinker said.

The reversal comes after three days of intense backlash over Komen’s announcement that it had adopted new criteria that excluded Planned Parenthood from grants because it was under government investigation. Planned Parenthood is currently at the center of a congressional probe into whether taxpayer money was used to fund abortions. Brinker said Friday they would “amend the criteria to make clear that disqualifying investigations must be criminal and conclusive in nature and not political.”

Brinker was bullied and threatened. She was told that if she did not reinstitute the funding, all the pressure that could be mustered against her and her foundation would go into action.  How do we know this? Tithes and offerings to the Leftist Church of Blood Sacrifice of the Unborn poured into Planned Parenthood. Billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City, one of the nation’s abortion capitals, pledged $250,000 to Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood got into breast cancer screening to make their bloody business of abortion seem respectable. It would be like the KKK supporting the Negro College Fund. Cancer screening is a good thing. The Komen Foundation could have redirected the money to other groups that do screening but don’t support abortion on demand as a calling.

Brinker now knows what it’s like being Michael Corleone in Godfather III:

“Just when I thought I was out… they pull me back in.”

I pray that Nancy Brinker comes to her senses. She does not want to end up like Michael Corleone, sitting alone in a chair with the dust swirling around her going over in her mind how she lost everything, including her soul, for what she believed was a righteous cause.
