Red Lights in Tinseltown Over the Oscars Weekend

While the cameras were capturing what was going on in front of the crowd, they were missing the action behind the scenes…

When bigtime political conventions come to town, like those held during the election years by the Democrats and Republicans, the number of prostitutes in town rises.

Dramatically. It’s like a river in a flash flood whose waters spill over its banks, drench the surrounding areas, and then recede almost as quickly.

Sex workers looking for big money flock to the men with the deep wallets. Some of the most influential men in the country gather together into a dense cluster during political conventions. Their egos need to be stroked.

The same thing is true for Hollywood over Oscars weekend. When the world’s most successful movie stars come to town, it’s no coincidence that prostitutes swarm the region.

But it’s not just the big A-list stars. There are lots of people who work behind the scenes to makes movies happen who are paid a lot of money for their talents. We never see their names or their faces.

FUN AND GAMES

A recent article by The Sun exposed the carnal cravings of the men who make the movies we love.

Just look at some of these raunchy quotes:

Stephany, who worked for the LAPD for 30 years and now runs the Journey Out project to help young girls escape the sex trade, said: “I once heard of a party on a private golf course where a tent was set up with girls in it to service men…

Private eye Dan Hanks, who helped bring down Hollywood madam Michelle Braun, explained: “The Hollywood machine is oiled by sex and drugs. It’s all off the books. These people are paid cash.

“The Oscars parties will be arranged well in advance. No one wants their celebrity to have a ‘Hugh Grant’ moment, like when he was busted with a streetwalker.

What’s in it for the women? What attracts them? It’s not rocket science:

A Hollywood madam called Deborah, who would not reveal her full name said: “Oscars time is great. My girls make $5,000 to $50,000.

“I’ve heard of a $20,000 (£16,000) tip from one star a couple of years ago, but the celebs very rarely have direct contact with the pimps and madams.

The ladies can make a lot of money. They are paid to stay quiet.

Hooking up with groupies may be cool and image-building for rock stars, but it’s detrimental to celebrities. So there’s big demand for beautiful women who can keep a secret during Tinseltown’s largest annual gathering.

Hollywood has no problem criticizing our political choices. But they don’t want you to know about their own personal choices. They know you wouldn’t approve.

Funny thing is, you don’t need them. But they need you. Their well-being depends on how you vote.

With your wallet.
