Pocahontas to be next President?
A recent poll is pointing to a harsh reality for Conservatives: Elizabeth Warren may be our next President.
A survey of slightly more than 2,000 voters reveals that, among Democrats, Elizabeth Warren is tied with Barack Obama for being the leader of the Democratic Party.
After Bernie Sanders and Michelle Obama, their next choice for president is Elizabeth Warren. Among Democrats only, Warren gets more votes for the 2020 presidential candidate (10%) than Hillary Clinton does (5%).
There’s a power vacuum in the Democratic Party right now. There is uncertainty in the public and in the media on who its leader is.
WHO IS THE UNOFFICIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY LEADER?
Could Senator Elizabeth Warren, often called “Pocahontas” by Trump, become the next US president?
Among all voters, including Republicans, a large percentage (40%) say the Democratic Party has no leader. Among Democrats alone, 35% say there is no leader. They assign 15% of their vote to Barack Obama, the highest, as the party’s leader.
Since Hillary’s defeat, there’s been a question of who the leader of the Democratic Party actually is. Sanders will be too old to run in the next election, though I suppose he could try. He developed a hardcore constituency within the Democratic Party, even though he lost out to Clinton. He remains on the fringes today, though that may change over time as faith in the party is further undermined. His supporters will do his bidding.
The Democratic Party’s unofficial leader is Barrack Obama. He has setup headquarters in an 8,200-square-foot mansion in DC valued at around $5 million. His long-term special advisor, Valerie Jarrett, has moved in with him. They go back a long ways. They bonded over their common experience of being black people who were raised in mostly Muslim countries.
WHY MICHELLE ISN’T UPSET
You might think wife Michelle may be upset by this arrangement. But don’t be so quick to judge. You see, just after Obama was elected to the Senate in 2005, Michelle’s salary at the University of Chicago Hospital tripled to $316,962. The articles didn’t reveal it at the time, but we now know in retrospect that Michelle’s boss was Valerie Jarrett.
Jarrett had met young Barack in 1991, just a short time after she offered a job to an unmarried Michelle Robinson, later to become Michelle Obama. Wikipedia reports:
In 1991, as deputy chief of staff to Mayor Richard Daley, Jarrett interviewed Michelle Robinson for an opening in the mayor’s office, after which she immediately offered Robinson the job.[30] Robinson asked for time to think and also asked Jarrett to meet her fiancé, Barack Obama. The three ended up meeting for dinner. After the dinner, Robinson accepted the job with the mayor’s office. It was at this time that Jarrett reportedly took the couple under her wing and “introduced them to a wealthier and better-connected Chicago than their own.” When Jarrett later left her position at the mayor’s office to head Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development, Michelle Obama went with her.
Obama is liberal. Warren is liberal. Obama is no longer able to run for presidential office again, but he clearly has plans to operate behind the scenes. He was an ineffective president while he was in office, passing only the failing Obamacare bill as his major achievement. He was blocked by a grid-locked Congress. But post-President, he retains influence as unofficial leader of the Democratic Party. Michelle will not run for President, but she may help her husband behind the curtain.
BEWARE THE LIBERAL UPRISING
If the economy tanks while Trump’s in office, the Democrats could win control of the full power of government in a clean sweep of the Legislative and Executive branches. With Bernie and Michelle out of the picture, Elizabeth Warren could become the party’s nominee. Combined with the Obamas and Jarrett scheming behind the scenes, directing the action from their $5 million mansion, a liberal, gale-force wind may blow across this land in the 8 years following Trump’s departure that will be unlike anything in recent history.
That’ll lead to an extravagant loss of personal liberty not seen since the implementation of FDR’s New Deal.
