If President Obama’s Executive Action was unlawful, does this mean that we can stop paying our income taxes because we believe it’s the right thing to do? Aren’t having the right motives the most important thing?

Not paying more in taxes will allow me to hire more people, spend more money to help companies stay in business, and allow me to save enough for retirement so that I won’t be a burden to others.

These are all good things.

If lawlessness is good enough for the President with no punitive consequences, then why can’t all Americans be lawless on a pick and choose basis?

When it was revealed that President Bill Clinton had oral sex in the White House with a young intern, parents were worried that the President’s sexual antics would have an effect on their children.

Sure enough, many teenagers did not regard oral sex as “sex,” a point made by President Clinton when he told the American public that he “did not have sex with” Monica Lewinsky.

For Bill, sex was intercourse; anything else was not real sex. If oral sex was not sex for the President, then it can’t be sex for anybody else.

Planned Parenthood of New York “reported that . . . most teenagers do not see oral sex as sex.”

Then there’s Ferguson, Missouri, where everybody is waiting for the decision from the Grand Jury on whether a white police officer in Ferguson will be indicted for killing Michael Brown. Many are anticipating and preparing for some form of civil unrest.

“The protests in Ferguson, Mo., on Friday night grew larger than previous days’ gatherings of protesters, despite the rain and cold weather. Police officers used a megaphone to ask protesters to leave the street outside the Ferguson Police Department or they would be arrested. In [a] video, protesters responded by chanting ‘F— the police’ and shouting ‘We don’t give a f— about your laws like you don’t give a f— about our lives.'”

These sentiments can apply to all types of Americans and actions by our government. “We don’t give a f— about your tax laws because you don’t give a f— about how hard and long we work to earn our money and how you waste it on unconstitutional programs and projects.”

If the President can act in a lawless way to get what he wants, then why can’t we? of course, it’s not the way it works. Governments are often lawless; they revel in it. Men and women are sent of to lawless wars. Young men were drafted to fight in wars that had no constitutional basis.

Lies are told to get legislation passed. It’s happened over and over again. Obamacare is just one example of many. The 16th Amendment was sold to the American people as a tax that would only affect the super rich.

FDR signed an Executive Order that made holding gold by private citizens a crime and punishable by stiff fines.

It’s no wonder that more people are defying our government. They believe they have a firm basis for their actions. if it’s OK for the President and Congress; it’s good enough for me.
