The Denials Keep Rolling In and Obama Does Not Feel Repudiated

The following are some of the responses from die-hard Obama people in the media. I can’t blame them for making these kinds of comments. It’s hard getting your teeth kicked in by people you despise.

The Wall Street Journal reports, “Democrats are really explaining away their losses in today’s midterm elections.” That’s an understatement. Stu Rothenberg at Roll Call is saying that this is a loss that could make history. “President Barack Obama is about to do what no president has done in the past 50 years: Have two horrible, terrible, awful midterm elections in a row.”

And let’s be clear, the liberal media despise conservatives, the Tea Party, and Republicans (unless they’re RINOs), so it’s no surprise that they will engage in all types of spin to prop up their political idol even after it was shown that the Emperor has no clothes. Of course, he never did.

The following is from Breitbart.com:

  • Despite the Republican Party taking control of both houses of Congress as well as winning additional governors mansions, ABC’s Good Morning America made sure to throw some cold water on the GOP victory.
  • On Wednesday morning, co-host George Stephanopoulos and ABC News Political Analyst Matthew Dowd pushed the line that despite the GOP’s midterm victory “the Republican brand is still very damaged.”
  • Following the big Republican wave in Tuesday’s midterm election, on Wednesday, Today co-host Matt Lauer immediately demanded that the new GOP-controlled Congress capitulate to President Obama: “Republicans have control of the House and Senate for the first time in eight years….In January, voters are gonna say,’What are you going to do with the power?’ Opposing the President’s policy is not a policy. Specifically, what can Republicans do with this power?”
  • One might be able to excuse Democratic spin before the election returns came in. But former Newsweek reporter Andrew Romano offered a real beaut the morning after at Yahoo News, titled “How Hillary Clinton won the 2014 midterms.”
  • Early Wednesday morning, liberal CNN political commentator Cornell Belcher groaned during CNN’s midterms elections coverage that the Democratic Party’s top campaigner in President Barack Obama was unable to defend attacks against his record and help Democrats on the campaign trailer because he “was basically locked away in the White House.
  • Oh, sure, Republicans like Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) might be winning the night, but Democrats have “won the argument.” That’s a piece of ridiculous spin that Rachel Maddow employed during live MSNBC election night coverage shortly after 9:30 p.m. Eastern.

I saved the best for last: “Obama does not feel repudiated.”

This reminds me of Sgt. Schultz of “Hogans Heroes”: “I see nothing . . . I didn’t even get up this morning.”

“Yet despite Obama’s desire to inoculate himself from blame, even progressive MSNBC analyst and Huffington Post editor Howard Fineman declared on Wednesday that ‘the Obama era is over.'”
