The Democrats, the media, RINOs, and the bureaucratic swamp have tried everything to subvert the presidency of Donald Trump. They’ve failed at every turn.

They don’t get it. People who voted for Trump were not following a cult leader. Trump voters were trying to get out from under a political cult that was comprised of Democrats and Republicans. We’ve had a political cult in the United States for generations. Roosevelt and the Kennedys had and have their cult followers.

Hillary has her own cult following, but none of these early political cultists surpassed the cult leader named Barack Hussein Obama:

Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obama’s Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: “I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above–above the world, he’s sort of God.”

Obama could do no wrong. The media fawned over him, describing him as being so much greater than the rest of us. Consider this bit of adulation drivel:

Obama’s speeches “enmesh you in a grander moment, as if history has stopped flowing passively by, and, just for an instant, contracted around you, made you aware of its presence, and your role in it,” parochial Washington rube Ezra Klein spouted in January 2008 in The American Prospect. “He is not the Word made flesh, but the triumph of word over flesh, over color, over despair. The other great leaders I’ve heard guide us towards a better politics, but Obama is, at his best, able to call us back to our highest selves, to the place where America exists as a glittering ideal, and where we, its honored inhabitants, seem capable of achieving it, and thus of sharing in its meaning and transcendence.”

If you think that was bad, wait to you read this:

In an almost textbook-perfect, dude-you-must-be-joking example of messianic Obama zeal, San Francisco columnist Mark Morford frothed in June 2008 that Obama “isn’t really one of us.” “Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.”

The Democrats are desperate for their cult leader to return and lead their party. “There’s f***ing no one else,” one Democratic strategist told Amie Parnes at The Hill. “Bill Clinton is toxic, [former President Jimmy] Carter is too old, and there’s no one else around for miles.”

The latest tactic of the anti-Trumpers (a cult in their own right) is to attack Trump’s supporters (again) as cultists. Of course, there are always people who see politics as their savior, but by-and-large the people who voted for Trump and support him now do so because they are fed up with both political parties.

A day after MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews called out President Trump for “coming out like a kiss butt” in dealing with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, the liberal pundit reveled on Wednesday in comparing Republicans to North Korean soldiers and comments by Tennessee Republican Senator Bob Corker that GOPers are part of a “cult” for enthusiastically backing President.

In lockstep fashion, “GOP Sen. Bob Corker (Tenn.) warned on Wednesday that members of his party are becoming ‘cult-like’ in their support of President Trump, pointing to leadership’s unwillingness to challenge the White House on tariffs.”

No one knows what’s going to happen with North Korea. At least Pres. Trump got the North Korean leader to the table. Will he dismantle his nuclear arsenal? No one knows. It seems to me that we should be optimistic and work for a stabilization of the divided nation while keeping our powder dry and by following Reagan’s sage advice, “trust but verify.”

I firmly believe that both parties prefer war to peace. That way, they can attack for public consumption and profit from it.

Then there’s the issue of tariffs. I’m not for tariffs. But it seems that a number of nations, including Canada, are following unfair trading practices. It’s been going on for a long time. Trump’s goal is to get all nations to drop their tariffs. It would also be the right thing to do to stop subsidizing American industries. Where does the Constitution give Congress the power to authorize farm subsidies?

Matthews not only compared Trump to a cult leader but a murderous cult leader:

Anyway, the Republican Party becoming more like a cult than a political party? Boy, that’s hard news for the Republicans. You’re in a cult. This is Jonestown?

For those of you aren’t aware of Jim Jones and what happened at Jonestown in 1978, the members of Jones’ cult took Flavor Aid (not Kool-Aid) poisoned with Valium, chloral hydrate, cyanide, and Phenergan that resulted in the deaths of more than 900 men, women, and children.

Politicians continually “poison” the people with promises of political salvation. “Give us more power and more money and we will give you heaven on earth.”

Those of us who voted for Trump saw the handwriting on the wall if the cult leader Hillary Clinton ever became President of the United States. We knew that we did not want her and what she and the Democrat Party stood for. All that’s being uncovered about the FBI and DOJ would still be hidden from us. These agencies did what they did because they were sure the Hillary Cult would be in power.
