The Real Reason Pope Benedict Resigned

It’s very unusual for a pope to resign. Most die in office. There’s some speculation that Pope Benedict (Joseph Ratzinger) resigned to cleanse the church of what’s been called “The Filth”:

“A report Benedict himself commissioned into the state of the Curia landed on his desk in January [2012]. It revealed that ‘The Filth’ — or more specifically, the paedophile priest scandal — had entered the bureaucracy. . . . The Filth has been corroding the soul of the Catholic Church for years, and the reason is the power-grabbing ineptitude and secrecy of the Curia — which failed to deal with the perpetrators. Now the Curia itself stands accused of being part of The Filth.

“Benedict realises the Curia must be reformed root and branch. He knows this is a mammoth task.

“He is too old, and too implicated, to clean it up himself. He has resigned to make way for a younger, more dynamic successor, untainted by scandal — and a similarly recast Curia.

“Benedict was not prepared to wait for his own death to sweep out the gang who run the place.

“In one extraordinary gesture, by resigning, he gets rid of the lot of them.”

The Catholic Church has been rightly criticized for its “sex scandals” and charges of cover-ups. (I do find it interesting that public schools have a higher percentage of teachers who use sex as a tool for exploitation and pleasure, and this says nothing about the easy access of drugs, reports of rape, sexual liaisons in the classroom, counterfeiting, and stabbings that are almost a daily occurrence.)

It’s the Catholic Church’s failure to act swiftly and decisively on the matter that has disillusioned and enraged church members. No one likes a cover-up, especially religious devotees who believe the church is a means of salvation.

The Church must also come to grips with reality and admit to itself that some priests, like the population in general, like to have sex with others of the same sex. “Some church experts estimate that 20% to 50% of the current 45,000 U.S. priests are homosexual.”1 Others put the percentage numbers in the range of 10 to 30 percent.

“Father Donald Cozzens, an author, psychologist, and Catholic seminary president says that there is such a high percentage of gay priests in the church that he is concerned that ‘the priesthood is or is becoming a gay profession.2In his book, ‘The Changing Face of the Priesthood,’—published in the year 2000—he estimates that 50% of Roman Catholic priests have a homosexual orientation.”

The priesthood is so dominated by homosexuals that Paul Wilkes, who studied 600 parishes for his book Excellent Catholic Parishes: A Guide to Best Places and Practices, makes this telling observation, “If we drove all the gay priests out of the priesthood, our Masses would be on videotape.”3 The Church has made it easy for homosexuals to enter the chicken coop. The homosexual-dominated non-denominational Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) is a lesson in sexual political reality. “Two sociologists who studied MCC in its formative years found magazines with ads for sex next to devotional literature. One congregation member referred to its youth ministry as ‘the Chicken Coop’ because it attracted predatory older men, ‘chicken hawks.’”4

The church’s unbiblical, illogical, and irrational policy that priests must not marry and thus remain celibate is partly being blamed for the sexual scandal. There certainly is a lot of truth in this, but it doesn’t tell the whole story.

Has anyone noticed that the majority of priests aren’t having sex with teenage girls? The male priests are having sex with young males. Archbishop Silvano Tomasi, the Vatican’s permanent observer to the United Nations, read the following statement after a meeting of the United Nations human rights council in Geneva: “Of all priests involved in the abuses, 80 to 90 per cent belong to this sexual orientation minority which is sexually engaged with adolescent boys between the ages of 11 and 17.”

Many homosexual men are becoming priests because that’s where young, impressionable, and vulnerable boys are found. These men enjoy having sex with boys in the same way that Willie Sutton enjoyed robbing banks: “That’s where the money was.” In the case of the priesthood, “That’s where the young boys are.”

Most adult homosexuals were first lured into the homosexual lifestyle by men when they were boys. But who can say this in today’s ethically paranoid and politically correct society?

The Roman Catholic Church has had a difficult time recruiting men to the priesthood. Homosexuals see this as an opportunity. Why not go where there’s an almost unlimited supply of young men whose parents consider priests to be god-like? Are we surprised that the Boy Scouts have also become a target of homosexuals? Once again, it’s where boys can be found for recruitment purposes.

Don’t think it’s just the Catholics that have a homosexual problem among their clergy. It just happens that the Catholic Church is the biggest and most despised target of liberals. Give the anti-Christians time to get around to the others. The strategy for infiltration, demolition, and eventual takeover is clearly in sight.

Let’s hope and pray that Ratzinger’s self-sacrifice leads to the cleaning of the Augean Stables of homosexual filth from the Roman Catholic Church.
