Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Used to Work for Sen. Edward Kennedy

As you probably know by now, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez beat long-time Democrat Joe Crowley in New York’s very liberal 14th Congressional District.

Ocasio-Cortez, 28, a former organizer for Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign and a onetime staffer for the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, ran on an unalloyed leftist progressive platform, calling for a “political revolution” that includes Medicare and higher education for all, gun control measures, an end to private prisons and the abolition of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s a self-admitted socialist. She is a card-carrying, true-blue member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

As a socialist, she wants to bring failed third-world economic and social principles to the United States. The thing of it, she will not be practicing the socialism she claims to believe in. Rarely if ever do the advocates of socialism live the socialist lifestyle. She was an organizer for Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, like Sanders, loves to confiscate and spend other people’s money while they live off the wealth of the people they want to fleece.

Curiously, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was “a onetime staffer for the late Sen. Ted Kennedy.” Democrats have demonstrated loudly about Donald Trump’s sexually inappropriate comments about women and even his alleged affairs.

And yet Democrats, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez included, had no problem repeatedly working to re-elect Ted Kennedy to the Senate. He has been described as the “Lion of the Senate” even though he was a multi-millionaire and left a woman to drown in his car. In fact, the Kennedy political family has a combined net worth of more than a billion dollars:

So how wealthy are the Kennedys, an aristocratic clan that continues to usher new members of its prominent family tree into politics to this day? According to Forbes magazine, the top 30 members of the Kennedy family are worth a combined estimate of $1.2 billion. (Newsweek)

“Socialism and political disgrace for thee but not for me,” is the mantra of socialists everywhere. It won’t be any different for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the people she represents if she wins in November.

Why would someone like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez work for Sen. Kennedy after knowing about the following? Because socialists have always furthered their agenda by linking arms with the guilty and guilt-ridden.

On the evening of July 18, 1969, the married Ted Kennedy and a young campaign worker named Mary Jo Kopechne were returning from a party on Chappaquiddick Island. A short time later, with Kennedy at the wheel, in an instant of miscalculation, the car careened off the narrow Dike Bridge and plunged into the pond. Kennedy swam ashore leaving Mary Jo to drown. Instead of immediately reporting the accident to authorities, he waited until the next morning later claiming he had been dazed by the impact of the crash.

He left the scene of the accident, passed homes with their lights on as he made his way back to his hotel, did not immediately report the accident, and two fishermen reported the submerged car at 8:20 the next morning. A diver was brought in, and Kopechne’s body was discovered around 8:45 AM.

The diver, John Farrar, later testified at the inquest that Kopechne’s body was pressed up in the car in the spot where an air bubble would have formed. He interpreted this to mean that Kopechne had survived for a time after the initial accident in the air bubble, and concluded:

Had I received a call within five to ten minutes of the accident occurring, and was able, as I was the following morning, to be at the victim’s side within twenty-five minutes of receiving the call, in such event there is a strong possibility that she would have been alive on removal from the submerged car.

Farrar believed that Kopechne “lived for at least two hours down there.”

If Ted Kennedy had been a Republican, his obituary would have read something like this:

Former disgraced Senator Edward Kennedy died this week. He is most noted for leaving the scene of an accident where he left a woman to drown as he waited until the next morning to report what he said was an accident. This gave him an opportunity to work on his story for the press in hopes of staying in office. It didn’t work. Conservatives hold their leaders to a higher standard.

While not proven, many have speculated that Kennedy had been driving drunk, panicked after the accident, and spent the evening and early morning conferring with family members and confidants on how he could minimize the damage to his political career. He pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and had his driver’s license revoked for a year.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the real face of the Democrat Party. The goal of true-blue socialists has always been to use rich “Progressives” as stepping stones to full-fledged socialism. It’s not surprising, therefore, that Bernie Sanders is now not Leftist enough for the new radical socialists who want to remake the Democrat Party in their image.
