I don’t like whiners. I don’t like to hear someone say in a whiney voice, “I can’t do it” or “It’s too hard.” This is what I hear from Sen. Mitch McConnell as he explains why it’s going to be difficult to overturn ObamaCare. While McConnell says he’ll do whatever he can to repeal the law, he doesn’t sound too confident to me. Is he preparing us for defeat?

“If you thought it was a good idea for the federal government to go in this direction, I’d say the odds are still on your side,” McConnell said, “because it’s a lot harder to undo something than it is to stop it in the first place.” We know it’s going to be hard, Sen. McConnell. What we want to know is how hard YOU are going to fight to overturn ObamaCare.

The 2012 Olympics are coming up. If you’ve watched any of the U.S. Track and Field trials, you saw some of the most determined athletes in the world vying for the coveted three spots for each event. Extraordinary efforts are being expended to gain the needed hundredth-of-a-second edge to make the team.

Runners hoping to secure their trip to the upcoming Olympics in London by making the top three were literally diving across the finish line during the trials this week. Track and field athletes Jeffrey Porter and Bershawn Jackson dove mid-air in separate races to qualify for the U.S. team to make sure their upper bodies would clearly be over the finishing lines.

Sen. McConnell, we want to see a plan, not just for the repeal of ObamaCare but a plan for how the GOP is going to govern if it wins in November. How are you going to overturn ObamaCare? Will you expend all the energy it takes to cross the finish line? Will you dive for the tape if that’s what it takes? Here are some helpful hints:

1. Get a pledge from existing Republicans that they will take an oath to repeal ObamaCare. Publish the list so we can see it. Do it in the next two weeks.
2. Make it clear that any Senator who does not take the oath won’t get any money from the Republican National Committee for a re-election bid.
3. Any Republican Senator who does not support the repeal of ObamaCare will have a Republican opponent in the primary.
4. Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and tea-party backed former state Solicitor General Ted Cruz are heading to a runoff in the state’s Republican primary for U.S. Senate. Make a bee-line to Texas and get a signed pledge from both of them about what they will do on the repeal effort.
5. Put together an ad campaign explaining what the passage of ObamaCare will do to tax-paying Americans and how it will affect long-term healthcare. Make the ads simple and graphic.

In a word, do everything in your power to see that ObamaCare is repealed. If you are not willing to do what it takes, then let someone else take charge, someone who’s willing to dive at the tape to win the race.
