Obama Won’t Apologize for Violating the Constitution
The Supreme Court slapped down President Obama again — for the 13th time. One was a 9 to 0 decision on recess appointments. There is no doubt that Obama has violated the Constitution numerous times in his nearly six years as President.
John Boehner has had enough, but ’s taken him a long time to stop talking and weeping and begin to act. Speaker Boehner is filing suit against the President. Here’s how President Obama’s ABC interview with Democrat operative George Stephanopoulos went:
BARACK OBAMA: You notice that [John Boehner] didn’t specifically say what exactly he was objecting to. I’m not going to apologize for trying to do something while they’re doing nothing.
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Even if you get sued?
OBAMA: You know… the suit is a stunt. What I’ve told Speaker Boehner directly is: if you’re really concerned about me taking too many executive actions, why don’t you try getting something done through Congress? The majority of the American people want to see immigration reform done. We had a bipartisan bill through the Senate, and you’re going to squawk if I try to fix some parts of it administratively that are within my authority, while you are not doing anything.
The argument that President Obama is making is clear: If Congress doesn’t act on what he wants done, whether it’s constitutional or not, he is going to do it, and anyone who questions him or stands in is way be damned.
The hypocrisy of Obama drips from his statements. Consider: “The majority of the American people want to see immigration reform done.” The majority of Americans in 32 states opposed the legalization of homosexual marriage, but this hasn’t stopped him from pushing his pro-same-sex agenda through executive action. It hasn’t stopped the courts either.
The majority of Americans don’t want an influx of undocumented non-Americans to overwhelm our nation, burden already bankrupt tax-payer funded social services, flood the public school system, and then vote to change American ideals.
Charles Krauthammer gets it right:
“Look, he is not a natural politician. I don’t think he even likes politics, which is odd for a man who is president. He clearly has completely failed at doing what the president has to do, which is work with the other side. But the worst part of it is he doesn’t care about the constitution. There will be presidents after him. And if he gets away with all this overreach — creating laws, rewriting laws, ignoring laws — it will be a occasional defeat for the country and for the rule of law, and I think that’s the worst part of this. If this were a Republican, he would be impeached now over all of these abuses.”
Obama is a radical ideologue hell-bent on destroying America. It’s in his psyche. He’s been waiting for the day that he can turn the dreams of his father into our nightmare.
