Obama Kills Jobs with the Media’s Help
Everybody but those in the media knows that the economic policies of the Obama Administration are job killers. A managed economy is a stagnant economy. As a business owner, not knowing what the government is going to do in the future with regulations and taxes has a big impact on how I do business today. There are at least three people I would like to hire. I’m afraid to do it because there is the constant feat that my taxes are going to go up next year. There’s also the constant feat that Republicans are going to agree on a tax increase to show that they’re “cooperating with the Democrats.” This means that the conservative base will not be revved up enough to insure a wholesale sweep in 2012 to get rid of liberals.
If the media would tell the truth about what’s going on similar to the way they continually attacked George H. W. Bush on the economy in 1992, we might see some movement on policy. You and I know that if a Republican were President, we would see a barrage of stories on how the president’s policies are wrecking the economy. He would be blamed for every job lost and every job not found.
We’re hearing reports that we are going to be in another oil crunch. Oil is above $100 again. And what does Obama do? He stops TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline that would have routed oil from Canada to U.S. refineries. This was such a job killer that even the unions opposed him on the decision. Not only would we get much needed oil, lessen our dependence on radical Muslim oil that is funding their revolution, but it would have created 20,000 high paying jobs.
Allen West blames the media for not making this a front-page, everyday, all day news story. It’s the story of the year, and the media have virtually ignored it:
Congressman Allen West (R-Fla.) called on the media to “stop being afraid” of President Barack Obama who is “destroying this country.” West made his remarks on Tuesday at a press conference in support of the TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline.
“It’s about time that I asked this from the media: Stop being afraid of this president,” said Rep. West. “Stand up to him and call him out on the shirking of his duties and responsibilities. The House Republicans are passing pieces of legislation, after pieces of legislation about jobs.”
“And here we’ve got a president that’s gone off to Australia, playing golf in Hawaii, and you guys allow him to make this decision to shut down this Keystone XL project,” said West. “The media needs to call out this president and stop coming over here to the House Republicans and telling us what we’re not doing. We’re the ones taking action. The guy sitting at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is destroying this country.”
The media so detest conservative principles that they are willing to put our nation at economic risk and vulnerable to terrorism. The fewer petro-dollars that get into the hands of the radicals in the Middle East the safer we will be.
The 1,661-mile pipeline would have cost $7 billion and would run from Alberta, Canada to U.S. refineries on the Gulf Coast until President Obama announced that a decision on whether to approve the project would be postponed until early 2013. America needs jobs now! Why wait until 2013 unless he is trying to keep the environmentalists happy so they will vote for him in 2012.
One last thing. If the pipeline project does not go through, don’t think Canada is going to be hurting. Canada will reroute it to their west coast and sell the oil to China. Anybody but Obama in 2012!
