Michele Bachmann Needs to Quit Whining
I’ve never asked anyone to apologize to me. I especially don’t ask people who write or say nasty things about me to apologize. If you really want to get under someone’s skin, ignore the agitator. In the film Fatal Attraction (1987), Glenn Close’s character is irritated beyond belief when Michael Douglas tells her that their brief affair is over. “I’m not going to be ignored, Dan.” Just the way she says “ignored,” you know she means business.
I sometimes make the mistake of answering goofballs rather than ignoring them. It’s hard for me to back away from a fight. I love competition.
The attackers want a fight, but from a distance and on their terms. I’ll engage them so I can get an article out of their responses. But for the most part I ignore the persecutors since I know they do what they do because they want to get a rise out of me. I won’t give them the satisfaction. Dismissal is the best remedy.
Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is seeking a public apology from NBC for a tasteless musical introduction. Here’s the story as reported on Big Hollywood:
Bachmann appeared as a guest on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Monday, and when she took her seat the show’s house band, The Roots, played the Fishbone song “Lyin’ Ass Bitch.”
The band’s outspoken drummer Questlove patted himself on the back for the song selection initially via his Twitter feed, and then served up a mealy mouthed apology statement that rang as hollow as a cheap Christmas ornament.
Fallon, for his part, apologized via Twitter but didn’t bother to do the right thing and apologize on-air, where the original slur took place.
Bachmann appeared on Fox News saying that she wanted an apology from NBC.
“If that had been Michelle Obama who had come out on the stage, and if that song had been played for Michelle Obama, I have no doubt that NBC would have apologized to her and likely they could have fired the drummer or at least suspended him. None of that happened from NBC. This is clearly a form of bias on the part of the Hollywood entertainment elite, but it’s also sexism as well … this [apology] really needs to come from NBC.”
She’s absolutely right, but it doesn’t matter. The Liberal media are in the Democrat Party-Obama is God-Leftist Agenda-Anti-Republican promotion business. This is what they are. They’re not going to change. They are in the double-standard business. Here’s the latest double standard from the Left:
Democratic strategist Tad Devine, an adviser to the Al Gore and John Kerry presidential campaigns, accused Mitt Romney’s campaign of invoking the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright in a recent ad.
Devine said Wednesday that he was “shocked” to see what he believed was imagery of an African-American church in an ad released Tuesday by Romney’s campaign team and airing in New Hampshire. The ad, Romney’s first of the campaign, is “clearly an attempt to bring back Rev. Wright and race,” Devine tweeted.
Michele, don’t ask for an apology. You sound like your whining. You’re better than they are. Let them wallow in their inferiorities.
Even if representatives from NBC do apologize, they won’t mean it. And no one will hear it because the only people watching NBC these days are Democrat Party-Obama is God-Leftist Agenda-Anti-Republicans. They deserve one another.
