The California House has passed a draconian law that would outlaw anyone claiming that same-sex sexuality is a choice and not an inherent sexual quality.

The bill in question is California Assembly Bill 2943. It would treat as a criminal violation of the state’s consumer fraud act “the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer” that consists of “advertising, offering to engage in, or engaging in sexual orientation change efforts with an individual.” Don’t be misled into thinking that this bill bans only professional counselors from trying to alter same-sex attractions. It goes well beyond that.

This means if a person who has renounced his or her homosexual lifestyle and explained that others who practice same-sexuality can also, they would be violating the law. Any mention that homosexuals can “change” their sexual behavior could be considered a crime

It remains to be seen if this new proposed law will pass judicial scrutiny since it is a clear violation of the First Amendment. Of course, this has not stopped universities from refusing criticism of “climate change” and the theory of mud-to-man evolutionary theories.

A survivor of the June 2016 mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, that left 49 people dead now says he has found Christ and is no longer gay.

“I should have been number 50!,” Luis Javier Ruiz said in a message posted to Facebook. “Going through old pictures of the night of Pulse, I remember my struggles of perversion, heavy drinking to drown out everything and having promiscuous sex that led to HIV. My struggles were real! The enemy had its grip, and now God has taken me from that moment and has given me Christ.”

It’s a story like this that is upsetting to the homosexual lobby. That’s why California is passing a law that would make such a declaration illegal. If the word gets out to people practicing same-sex sexuality that homosexual is not innate, then the entire gay agenda falls apart. To avoid such a disaster, Leftists do what they do best. Make it illegal to question a Leftist belief and to propagandize children in government schools that same-sex sexuality and gender fluidity are normal.

Ruiz shared this revelation just ahead of the Freedom March, to be held May 5 in Washington. The event bills itself as a “celebration of freedom from homosexuality and transgenderism” and is organized by Voice of the Voiceless, a religious group whose mission is “to defend the rights of former homosexuals, individuals with unwanted same-sex attraction, and their families,” according to its website.

Ruiz, who was featured in a social media post for the Freedom March above the words “Homosexuals Can Change!,” is expected to attend this weekend’s event along with others “celebrating freedom from homosexual/transgender lifestyles,” according to the Freedom March’s Facebook page.

Saying “homosexuals can change” is like using the N-word and denying the Holocaust.

If you listen to enough pro-homosexual propaganda, homosexuality is akin to a third sex. People are born male, female, and homosexual. But wait! Transgenderism teaches that people born female can become male, and people born male can become female. In fact, there are so many gender choices today that it’s impossible to know them all.

If this is true, why is it wrong to claim that people who engage in same-sex sexuality could change?

Homosexuality is a choice like promiscuity, adultery, sexual assault, rape, and pedophilia. If this is not the case, then people like Harvey Weinstein, Tom Brokaw, and Charlie Rose could claim that what they and other men did to women was innate. They were born that way. They couldn’t help being what they were born to be. There was a time when homosexuality and transgenderism were considered to be mental illnesses. Maybe the same is true of men who engage in what today is considered to be inappropriate sexual behavior.

Consider the following:

The controversial practice of trying to change one’s sexual orientation or gender identity is often referred to as “conversion therapy.” A long list of health organizations have spoken out against the medically debunked practice, including the American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Association of School Psychologists, the American Psychoanalytic Association and the American Counseling Association.

What do these organizations do with people like Luis Javier Ruiz, Rosaria Champagne Butterfield, and those who will be attending the Freedom March? Pass a law so people can’t tell their stories.
