Liberals and RINOs Don’t Understand Ted Cruz Filibuster

Liberals and RINO Republicans are following the anti-Ted Cruz narrative that his filibuster didn’t accomplish anything. They are wrong. It had mega

-impact!

Here’s what David Gregory said to Cruz in an interview segment:

GREGORY: You’re a terrific lawyer. You’re making an argument. I asked you a specific question based on the facts on the ground. You’ve made all these arguments. My goodness, you went and spoke for twenty-one hours to make these arguments. You haven’t moved anyone.

This is where Gregory is wrong and RINOs hope he’s right.

The people Cruz moved was the base – the same Republican base that held their noses and voted for John McCain in 2008 and a diminished Republican base that voted for Romney in 2012 with many more staying home.

The GOP lost its base. The refrain among constitutional Republicans was, “We won’t be fooled again.”

The GOP has lost its base because of people like McCain, McConnell, and Graham. Instead of making a case against the Democrats, they’ve attacked the very people who voted in terms of the promises they made to the voters in their states. They kept their oath.

When what was left of the base voted for GOPers in 2012 who said they would vote to overturn ObamaCare and then went mealy-mouth and spineless when it came to block the legislative train wreck that’s inhibiting job growth, damaging the healthcare system, and is about to ruin the greatest healthcare system in the world, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and a few others stood their ground.

Finally, we have some Republicans with backbones who aren’t afraid to confront the Republican establishment.

Many Republicans are afraid of getting blamed for a government shutdown. They have two choices: Get blamed for the shutdown or get voted out of office.

The choice is theirs. We’ll remember in November 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020.
