Blacks who support Republicans and conservative causes are “Oreos,” black on the outside and white on the inside, “Uncle Toms,” and porch monkeys while throwing Oreo cookies at them. When Blacks stray off the liberal plantation, Democrats will be ready to chase them down. Do you remember how Harry Belafonte, who is Black, attacked Herman Cain?

“Well, you know, it’s very hard to comment on somebody who is so denied intelligence and certainly someone who is as denied a view of history such as he reveals. He knows very little. Because he happened to have had good fortune, because he happened to have had a moment when he broke through – the moment someone blinked – does not make him the authority on the plight of people of color.”

In late 2002, “Belafonte took aim at Secretary of State Colin Powell by calling him a ‘house slave’ to President George W. Bush.” Blacks like Belafonte don’t want Blacks, who he believes are beneath him, to leave the liberal plantation. High profile Blacks enjoy the perks of their Black “leadership” positions while rank and file Blacks remain on the plantation.

Thomas Sowell notes that Belafonte, who is West Indian, has a different cultural background and has “remained socially distinct from other blacks” around him. Belafonte believes that Blacks who are beneath need his guidance.

Similar attitudes prevail among Liberal Hispanics who react when conservative Hispanics who no longer vote Democrat. These “Coconuts,” brown on the outside but white on the inside, must be kept in the Democrat fold in order to push an agenda that insures Liberals remaining in power.

Now we learn that Marco Rubio, the junior Senator from Florida and a conservative Republican, is being labeled “anti-Hispanic” for not co-operating with Univision, the largest Spanish-language media company in the United States:

Haim Saban, the chairman of Univision, wrote, in an e-mail, “The fact that Rubio and some Republican Presidential candidates have an anti-Hispanic stand that they don’t want to share with our community is understandable but despicable. So ‘boycotting’ Univision . . . is disingenuous at best and foolish at worst.”

Rubio has taken positions that compete with those of Univision, especially his opposition to the DREAM Act and “amnesty.”

The Miami Herald reports the following:

Univision honchos showed they’re biased when it comes to covering immigration and they acknowledge offering “options” to Sen. Marco Rubio amid talks over a controversial story about the drug bust of the Republican’s brother-in-law a quarter century ago. That’s a takeaway from the New Yorker’s upcoming piece “War of Choice. Marco Rubio and the G.O.P play a dangerous game on immigration.”

Univision insiders and Rubio staffers told the Miami Herald that Univision’s news chief “offered to soften or kill a story about the drug bust if the Senator cooperated with the network. Based largely on the Herald report, Republican presidential candidates later announced they’d boycott a proposed Univision debate if the network or Lee didn’t apologize.”

Univision wanted to use the interview to attack Rubio and make him look bad before his fellow-Hispanics. This is especially important if Rubio is considered for a vice-president spot. Send in the attack dogs now before Rubio picks up steam.

Being Black or Hispanic is only important if Liberalism and the Democrat party are in jeopardy of losing power and influence.
