George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin in self defense. That’s what a six-woman jury determined. Racial politics forced this trial. If you’ve been following the case, you know the story.

Here’s a short lesson for all of us to remember:

“The first to plead his case seems right,

“Until another comes and examines him.” (Prov. 18:17).

The first indication that the trial was going to be about race was how George Zimmerman was described. He was a “white Hispanic.” When has President Obama ever been described as a “white black man”? Never. There were additional evidentiary missteps by the media.

Every day in America black teenagers are killed mostly by other black teenagers. Chicago is becoming known as the black-teenage murder capital in the nation, and yet we have not heard one word about any trials.

Two black teenagers killed 13-month-old Antonio West. Antonio’s mother, who is white, said that Demarquis Elkins demanded money from her and threatened to kill her if she didn’t give him any. “When you have a baby, you spend all your money on babies. They’re expensive,” she said. “And he kept asking, and I just said ‘I don’t have it.’ And he said, ‘Do you want me to kill your baby?’ And I said, ‘No, don’t kill my baby!’”

After firing and hitting Antonio’s mother twice, Elkins finally shot the baby in the face, killing him.

I suspect that most of you reading this have never heard this black-on-white murder because it doesn’t have any political juice. There’s no way the story can be used by liberals and Democrats to get them more votes.

Since the “not guilty” verdict came in, the usual political racists have tweeted, pontificated, and threatened.

As I finished typing the above sentence, I read where “Zimmerman’s attorneys are setting their sights on the media . . . most notably NBC News” over “a severely out of context spliced clip of Zimmerman” that was played by the hackneyed network in an attempt to make his comments seem racist. From then on, low-information voters got the false impression that Zimmerman was following Trayvon because he was black.

Zimmerman’s attorneys shouldn’t stop with NBC News. They should go after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) who called on the Justice Department to prosecute Zimmerman. “I think the Justice Department is going to take a look at this,” Reid told NBC’s Meet the Press. “This isn’t over with and I think that’s good. That’s our system; it’s gotten better, not worse.”

No, it’s gotten worse because of people like you keeping the fires of racial division alive.

It would hurt to take on the Department of Justice that was knee-deep in agitating the situation in Sanford, Florida, by helping to “organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman.”

Then there’s Victor Cruz of the New York Giants who tweeted: “Zimmerman doesn’t last a year before the hood catches up to him.”

He later apologized, but so did Paula Deen for what she said maybe 30 years ago and paid for her words to the tune of $12 million. Cruz just signed a $42 million contract. Sue him.

Not to be outdone, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White recommended that the six women jurors “go home and kill themselves.” They can join Zimmerman in a potential threat of bodily harm suit.

Like, Cruz, White apologized. Too late. Apply the Deen effect. He’s worth millions. Sue him.

Zimmerman’s attorneys should go after every threatening tweet and sue those who wrote them.

Let’s not forget racial agitator Al Sharpton who’salways ready to exploit his fellow-blacks to no good end. Then there’s Malik Zulu Shabazz, leader of the New Black Panther Party, who has declared war on white people. In 2012, the New Black Panther Party offered a $10,000 bounty for Zimmerman. When an Orlando Sentinel reporter asked Mikhail Muhammad if he was inciting violence, he said, “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”1 “The Sentinel also reported that the group ‘called for the mobilization of 10,000 black men to capture Zimmerman.’”

Here are a few of the tweets that need to be investigated:

• “F**k Zimmerman i got the 30 and I’m comin for the nigga”
• “SOMEBODY MUST KILL ZIMMERMAN ASAP!!!!”
• “i will kill zimmerman if i see him.”
• “I will kill Zimmerman & those bitches [six female jurors] myself!—”
• “Put this on mamma I will kill Zimmerman.”

It’s time to play legal hardball. It’s the only thing liberals understand. Suing now might save the next victim in a racially-motivated show trial.
