Democrat Says Tea Party Would Love to See Blacks Lynched

Leftist Democrats are getting desperate, mean, slanderous, and borderline insane. The latest moral and mental outrage comes from Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.). Carson, the nation’s second Muslim Congressman and a member of the Congressional Black Congress, said the following:

Some [of the members] in Congress right now of this Tea Party movement would love to see you and me [speaking to a Black audience] hanging on a tree. Some of them in Congress are comfortable with where we were 50 and 60 years ago. But this is a new day with a Black president and the Congressional Black Caucus.

Watch the first 45 sends of this video if you don’t believe that he actually said this:

Comparing getting back to the Constitution, that Carson took an oath to uphold, cannot in anyway be compared to lynching blacks.

I wonder if Carson knows that it was his fellow Black Africans who were involved in the slave trade. Not only did they enslave many of Carson’s fellow-Blacks, but they also enslaved Christians. Most of these African slave traders were Muslims.

“According to Robert Davis between 1 million and 1.25 million Europeans were captured by Barbary corsairs, who were vassals of the Ottoman Empire, and sold as slaves between the 16th and 19th centuries. These slaves were captured mainly from seaside villages from Italy, Spain, Portugal and also from more distant places like France or England, the Netherlands, Ireland and even Iceland.”

No doubt non-Muslim nations were involved in the slave trade as well, but “the author Ronald Segal distinguishes the Islamic slave trade from that of the Atlantic or European slave trade by highlighting the aspects of its duration and nature: ‘It began in the middle of the seventh century and survives today in Mauritania and Sudan. With the Islamic slave trade, we’re talking of 14 centuries rather than four.’” It was Christians who abolished the slave trade.

The liberal web site Politico.com tries to make Carson seem sane with this spurious argument:

Carson is hardly the first lawmaker to use heated rhetoric. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) yelled “you lie” as President Barack Obama was addressing Congress. Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas) yelled “baby killer” at former Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) as abortion was being discussed during the health care debate.

Accusing the president of lying and accusing someone of lynching are not in the same moral ballpark. In fact, according to Wilson, the President did lie. Illegal immigrants would be covered under ObamaCare. Theoretical lynching is hardly equivalent to the actual killing of 4000 pre-born babies each day in America, nearly 1.5 million each year, 60 million since abortion was legalized in 1973.
