During the Islamic uprising in Egypt, what many have called the Arab Spring, Lara Logan, chief foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News, and a correspondent for CBS’s 60 Minutes, was sexually assaulted:

On 15 February 2011, CBS News released a statement that Logan had been beaten and sexually assaulted on 11 February, while covering the celebrations in Tahrir Square following Hosni Mubarak’s resignation. CBS 60 Minutes broadcast an interview with her about it on 1 May 2011; she said she was speaking out because of the prevalence of sexual assault in Egypt, and to break the silence about the sexual violence women reporters are reluctant to report in case it prevents them from doing their jobs.

Where are the women’s groups? Why aren’t they speaking out on what’s happening to women in Islamic nations? Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has not said a thing about the way women are being persecuted throughout the region.

This is typical of liberals. Only conservatives can be involved in a “war on women.” We hear it daily. It’s the leftist narrative to divide women in the upcoming election. There is a real war on women going on in nations where the Obama administration is offering financial support. In most of these nations women are denigrated, forced to live behind burkas and closed doors. Young girls are denied an education.

You might have seen the story of the young school girls who were eating popsicles.

Another sad story from the insane minds of Salafist Muslims, as four schoolgirls are attacked by bearded, ultra-Conservative Muslims for simply walking down a street and eating popsicles, the Men knocked the popsicles from the girls hands and screamed at them “Be Modest!” and “Go Home!”

Fortunately for these girls, some men in the village stood up to the Salafist Muslims who were harassing them. This is how the Muslim world will be changed. The hearts and minds of the people need transformed.

We’re fighting a losing war because the Islamic problem cannot be won with bullets and bombs. It’s a worldview that needs to be confronted, and this administration is not willing or able to deal with the poisonous Islamic worldview because it’s too close to it. Obama speaks well of Islamic culture and Hillary Clinton’s closest aide has ties to the Islamic world. Huma Abedin, deputy chief of staff to Secretary of State Clinton, has family members — her mother and brother — who some contend have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Even Republicans have been reluctant to speak out of the inherent dangers found in the Islamic worldview for fear of being labeled bigots and xenophobic
