Bill Nye the Atheist Guy

Do you want your children exposed to a scientist who claims God does not exist? Since scientists can’t make such a claim in the name of science, such a scientist is not being a scientist. A scientist can believe God does not exist, but he can’t demonstrate scientifically that God does not exist.

The Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin (1934–1968) was the first human to journey into outer space on April 12, 1961. Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev said in a speech that “Gagarin flew into space, but didn’t see any god there.” While Gagarin never said it, it’s typical of atheist regimes to push their faith by an appeal to empirical science. And that’s the problem with science. There is no way to be dogmatic about God’s non-existence since humans haven’t investigated every crevice of the visible and invisible cosmos.

Now we come to “Bill Nye: The Science Guy” who slams creationists who believe that God created the heavens, the earth, and human beings.

“You can believe what you want religiously. Religion is one thing, but science, provable science is something else. My concern is you don’t want people growing up not believing in radioactivity, not believing in geology and deep time.”

This is typical of evolutionists. If you don’t believe in the impossibility of evolution, you can’t do science. Nye talks about “provable science.” No one has ever proved that the cosmos spontaneously appeared. No one has shown how inorganic materials evolved into organic entities. No one has ever explained where the information needed to turn a biotic soup of life into intelligently operating human beings.

I know a lot of anti-evolution scientists, doctors, and surgeons, and they are not inhibited by their creationist beliefs. Please tell me how a dispute over the age of the Earth or whether humans and dinosaurs lived at the same time is going to affect a heart surgeon?

Did the scientists who sent the Apollo spacecrafts to the Moon and back have to believe in evolution to do math and physics? Tell that to the three crew members of Apollo 8. On December 24, 1968, in what was the most watched television broadcast at the time, the crew in turn read from Genesis 1 as they orbited the Moon. Did their belief in God make them unable to do their scientific jobs?

They didn’t wax eloquently over how the once dark void of nothingness blew itself into existence and threw a dust cloud of debris that arranged itself into organized bags of meat and bones with electricity coursing through them that became self-consciousness so they could appreciate the tiny blue marble hanging in space.

Nye went on to say, “In another couple centuries, [the creationism] world view […] I’m sure won’t exist.” Predicting the future is also not scientific.
