Biden Says You are a ‘Terrorist’

The Internet has a long memory. Joe Biden has an Internet trail of gaffes with praises for segregationists and more sinister racial problems.

In a 1975 Senate hearing, the legendary civil rights lawyer Jack Greenberg had something to say to freshman Sen. Joe Biden.

Greenberg, longtime director of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, took Biden to task for sponsoring a bill that would limit the power of courts to order school desegregation with busing. It was a move that followed the wishes of many of Biden’s white constituents in Delaware.

The bill “heaves a brick through the window of school integration,” said Greenberg, one of the lawyers who had won the Brown v. Board of Education case that ended legal school segregation 21 years earlier. And according to Greenberg, Biden was the man with his hand on the brick.

Biden’s role in fighting student busing more than four decades ago has received renewed attention after the 76-year-old presidential candidate touted his ability to compromise with segregationists during his long Senate career. Biden said he disagreed strongly with these Southerners’ views but needed to work with them to get things done. Biden’s comments set off a firestorm among his political rivals and some political analysts, who described his language as offensive and anachronistic.

But political experts and education policy researchers say Biden, a supporter of civil rights in other arenas, did not simply compromise with segregationists — he also led the charge on an issue that kept black students away from the classrooms of white students. His legislative work against school integration advanced a more palatable version of the “separate but equal” doctrine and undermined the nation’s short-lived effort at educational equality, legislative and education history experts say. Keep in mind that Biden’s past on racial issues won’t be a problem for Black Leaders. They will use his past as political blackmail to get more of their Leftist agenda passed.

Joe Biden called Tea Party members “terrorists.” That’s right. People who believe in the Constitution, the right to vote, curtailing spending money that we don’t have, and stopping the creation of money out of thin air are terrorists. The terrorists I know blow up polling stations, kill government officials they don’t agree with, fly planes loaded with passengers into buildings,  slit the throats of captives, blow up churches, kill ministers, bomb synagogues, use women and children as human bombs, hijack planes, kidnap foreign hostages, and so much more.

So Mr. Biden, can you name a single Tea Party advocate who has engaged in ANY of these practices? Just one will do. Of course, you can’t. But since the media offers similar comments about the Tea Party, I doubt that there will be much coverage of your comments from the once-mainstream media. The media coverage I have seen shows them supplying cover for the Vice President’s numerous gaffes.

If former Vice President Cheney had made such an idiotic statement, he would have been excoriated in the media. Every Democrat would be calling for his resignation. “How dare he sully the reputation of citizens who only want a rightful voice in their government,” they would charge. As far as I can see, there’s been no outrage, just some scant reporting by the rising alternative media.

Maybe it’s time the former Vice President took a look at the Constitution that he took an oath to uphold, in particular, the First Amendment. Not only does it protect us against Congress establishing a religion and not prohibiting its free exercise, but it also gives us the right to speak about what our government is doing, write and publish what our government is doing, assemble to make our voices heard in protest against unconstitutional government, and the privilege to “petition the government for a redress of grievances.” That is, if we don’t like what our government is doing, we can go directly to our public officials and tell them and hold them accountable in the next election.

Like you, real terrorists are afraid of elections. We who identify with the Tea Party and the Deplorables see elections as a way of peacefully changing a bad government for a good, less intrusive and more responsible one. That’s why the Tea Party sent a message to the Vice President, the President, and Congress in 2010. Mr. Biden, you want to be President. There is little evidence that you will follow the Constitution that you took an oath to uphold. We don’t use or need terror to accomplish our goals. We have the ballot box.

Describing the Tea Party as a terrorist organization is an insult and borders on paranoia and fascism. It’s the ramblings of someone who identifies more with a dictator than an elected official. Hopefully, in 2020, the ballot box will give you an opportunity to retire fully from government. I’m counting the days. I can say this because the Constitution says I can.
