A Whole Bunch of White Folks Showed Up With Mixed Race Children and Want Their $100,000

In most cases, bullies are cowards. The best way to confront a bully is not to back down. And if you can’t do it alone, get some other people to join you.

When liberals make this or that claim about conservatives and Republicans, they rarely have the facts on their side. They trust that the media will protect them and the victims will not fight back

When confronted with the facts, they usually turn chicken.

Here’s an update of the $100,000 challenge made by a black representative from Alabama who claimed that white people do not adopt mixed race children. Let’s see how the challenge turned out:

“A statement made on the floor of the state house last month in Montgomery got a loud reply this afternoon from angry parents.

“State representative Alvin Holmes said Republican lawmakers would support abortion if their daughters became pregnant by black men. Holmes later said he would offer $100,000 cash to anyone who could show ‘a whole bunch of whites’ [who] have adopted black children in Alabama.

“Today at the state house, white parents who adopted mixed race or minority children said it’s time for Holmes to ‘pay up.’

“Beverly Owings is an adoptive mother of a 13-year-old bi-racial daughter. ‘I would like for him to “man up.” He’s made the statement. He needs to put his money where his mouth is.’

“Owings, a supporter of trans-racial adoptions in Alabama, is part of a movement called Faces of Families in Alabama.

“Supporters of trans-racial adoptions rallied this afternoon to show that families shouldn’t be defined by race.

“Owing’s husband Jeromy, says his family has worked hard to break down racial barriers.

“’After we work on it and work on it to have an elected official that can come in and make those comments and tear down everything that we’ve worked hard for. It puts a question in their minds of “Do I belong?” “Where do I belong?”‘”

“Now, Owings demands a public apology from Representative Holmes.

“Several attempts to reach Representative Holmes for an interview did not receive a response.”

Let’s see what excuse Rep. Holmes will give for not paying the $100,000. This is the same Alvin Holmes who stood by his comments that Clarence Thomas is an Uncle Tom. He said the following to interviewer David Webb:

“I think Justice Clarence Thomas on the United States Supreme Court is an Uncle Tom, a black man allowing himself to be used to carry the message of a white man, which is against the interest of black people in America. In my opinion, that’s an Uncle Tom.”

Holmes also said that the did not like Clarence Thomas because “he’s married to a white woman.”
