The Cult of the Modern-Day Democrat Party

In the 1960s and 1970s, cults were in the news. People could not understand how educated young people could be deceived to join up with Charles Manson and follow Jim Jones to Jonestown and do horrible things.

Manson was a pipsqueak of a man, and yet he had many loyal followers who ended up murdering at his request.

Let’s not forget Jonestown where hundreds of people willingly committed suicide at the behest of Jim Jones, a Marxist revolutionary. This was in November of 1978. In 1975, then Mayor of San Francisco George Moscone appointed Jim Jones to the city’s Housing Authority Commission after Jones and his Peoples Temple helped him get elected. He was not alone:

The politically inspired delusions of San Francisco Democrats proved contagious. Jimmy Carter’s running mate, Walter Mondale, met with Jim Jones in San Francisco in 1976. Carter’s wife, Rosalynn, found Jones so impressive that she campaigned with him, ate with him, allowed him to introduce her during a campaign speech, telephoned him, and put him in touch with her sister-in-law, Ruth Carter Stapleton. Friends in high places suppressed investigations in the United States, misled officials in Guyana into dismissing allegations against the lunatic in their midst, and biased State Department hands into siding with Jones in his fight with outraged relatives of the captives in his concentration camp. (National Review)

Why the attempt at a coverup? Because “guests at a large 1976 testimonial dinner for Jones included Governor Jerry BrownLieutenant Governor Mervyn Dymally, and Assemblyman Willie Brown, among others” were in attendance – all liberal Democrats. (Wikipedia)

What was Jim Jones’ worldview? “His indoctrinated followers regarded their nihilistic coda a political act. One of the willing suicide cases announced on the death tape, ‘No other way I would rather go than to give my life for socialism, Communism, and I thank Dad [Jones] very, very much.”

But back to Charles Manson and his cult. On August 9, 1969, actress Sharon Tate and four of her friends were brutally murdered in a home in the hills above Hollywood. The following evening, a seemingly unrelated double murder took place. A Los Angeles supermarket owner and his wife, Leno and Rosemary LaBianca, were killed. The two-night crime spree has come to be known as the “Tate-LaBianca Murders.”

Charles Manson and members of his “family” were convicted of the murders in a sensational trial that captivated the world.

The jubilant 1960s, with its free love and “do-your-own-thing” philosophy, had shown its dark side. America would never be the same as it feared for its sons and daughters. How could Manson, a misfit if there ever was one, compel all-American types to kill for him in some elaborate scheme to bring about a race war, “Helter Skelter,” as Charlie called it.

Manson believed that the Beatles were calling for a revolution, “an imminent black-white war.”1 Family member Gregg Jakobson explained it this way:

It would begin with the black man going into white people’s homes and ripping off the white people, physically destroying them, until there was open revolution in the streets, until they finally won and took over. Then black man would assume white man’s karma. He would then be the establishment.2

After the mass killings and eventual black ascendancy, the blacks in charge would turn to Charles Manson for help. Manson reasoned that blacks had been under “whitey’s” influence for so long that they would not be able to rule effectively. He would then put the black man back in his subservient position, and he would then rule the world.3 Manson, standing only five feet two inches tall, was convincing enough in his peculiar scheme that he got a group of teenagers and twenty-somethings to kill for him.

Manson played the race card as Democrats do any time they can’t offer a counter-argument. Everything is about race, with the added gender card. Let’s not forget Islamaphobia.

It all sounds so bizarre. So does much of what is coming from the Democrat Party, and yet millions of people are lining up to join the Democrat cult and donating millions of dollars to support it. They are demanding the complete overthrow of economic freedom and property rights and the right for women to kill their unborn children. These new state pro-abortion laws would have determined that Sharon Tate’s unborn baby was not a murder victim. “Reports of the autopsy noted that her unborn child—she had been eight months pregnant—‘had been perfectly formed’…” (New Republic) No matter since under the new Democrat cult, her dead “baby” would have been an “it,” a clump of pre-formed cells with no right to life. Today, unborn babies at full term and beyond can be killed in New York, Virginia, and Vermont.

These are the views of brainwashed cultists who believe they are doing the right thing to save humanity no matter what the cost.

Cults often have an apocalyptic element to their belief systems. This was true of the Peoples Temple, Davide Koresh and the Branch Davidians, and Heaven’s Gate. Nearly every 19th-century religious cult in the United States (e.g., Millerites, Jehovah’s Witnesses) included a theological plank tied to the “last days.” It’s not much different from today’s Democrat Party: Population Explosion, Depletion of the Ozone Layer, Global Cooling, Global Warming, Climate Change. The Democrats are telling us that we have 10 or 12 years left before the earth will be uninhabitable. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said that millennials in the U.S. fear “the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”

Here’s some historical perspective:

A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000…. Coastal regions will be inundated; one-sixth of Bangladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth of its 90 million people. A fifth of Egypt’s arable land in the Nile Delta would be flooded, cutting off its food supply, according to a joint UNEP and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study…. The most conservative scientific estimate is that the Earth’s temperature will rise 1 to 7 degrees in the next 30 years,” said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program.

The date of the Associated Press article? June 29, 1989. That was 30 years ago!

Today’s Democrat Party has put on suits and ties and joined the political rabble at the ballot box. Their leaders are blindly followed. Their goal is to bring down the system by coercion. Those who don’t ascent to the new order will be isolated through social shaming. These are the marks of a cult.
