MailOnline is reporting that a group of Christians in Saudi Arabia has been arrested for being and acting like Christians:

“Islamist police in Saudi Arabia have stormed a Christian prayer meeting and arrested its entire congregation, including women and children, and confiscated their Bibles, it has been reported.

“The raid was the latest incident of a swinging crackdown on religious minorities in Saudi Arabia by the country’s hard-line Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.”

We shouldn’t be surprised that “agents from the country’s Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice rounded up 28 Christians at the home of an Indian national in the city of Khafji.” Christian churches are not permitted in Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have an extremist Islamic underbelly that they keep hidden from most Americans. And don’t be shocked to learn that our government wants it that way.

“Thus far, the only person speaking out for them in Washington is Congressman Frank Wolf of Virginia, who has long been known for his human rights advocacy. He is doing what he can to get our ambassador to the country to speak up on their behalf.”

We know that a majority of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi nationals. How much direct influence did the Saudi government have, we don’t know. We do know, however, that there were those in Saudi Arabia who were directly involved and the Saudi government hasn’t done anything to investigate and the United States is still doing business with the Saudi Arabia.

“After the 9/11 attacks, the public was told al Qaeda acted alone, with no state sponsors.

“But the White House never let it see an entire section of Congress’ investigative report on 9/11 dealing with ‘specific sources of foreign support’ for the 19 hijackers, 15 of whom were Saudi nationals.

“It was kept secret and remains so today.

“President Bush inexplicably censored 28 full pages of the 800-page report. Text isn’t just blacked-out here and there in this critical-yet-missing middle section. The pages are completely blank, except for dotted lines where an estimated 7,200 words once stood (this story by comparison is about 1,000 words).”

There was a lot of suspicious activity among Saudis living in the United States prior to the 9/11 attacks. Where did the hijackers get the money to live and train for their murderous mission? While the “Saudis deny any role in 9/11,” a CIA “memo reportedly found ‘incontrovertible evidence’ that Saudi government officials — not just wealthy Saudi hardliners, but high-level diplomats and intelligence officers employed by the kingdom — helped the hijackers both financially and logistically.”

Paul Sperry, author of Infiltration and Muslim Mafia, writes, “Members of Congress reluctant to read the full report ought to remember that the 9/11 assault missed its fourth target: them.”

Then there’s Wahhabism.

“For more than two centuries, Wahhabism has been Saudi Arabia’s dominant faith. It is an austere form of Islam that insists on a literal interpretation of the Koran. Strict Wahhabis believe that all those who don’t practice their form of Islam are heathens and enemies. Critics say that Wahhabism’s rigidity has led it to misinterpret and distort Islam, pointing to extremists such as Osama bin Laden and the Taliban. Wahhabism’s explosive growth began in the 1970s when Saudi charities started funding Wahhabi schools (madrassas) and mosques from Islamabad to Culver City, California.”

What’s keeping politicians and special interest groups in the hip pocket of the Saudis? Oil.

The Republicans could set themselves apart from Obama and the Democrats by pushing hard for the Keystone Pipeline and drilling on federal lands.
