I know “Keep Your Ovaries Out of My Wallet” doesn’t rhyme like “Keep you rosaries off of my ovaries,” the mantra of the anti-religion pro-unborn baby killers, but it makes a more accurate point. Nobody should be forced to pay for someone’s sexual choices, especially when those choices result in dead unborn babies. In fact, nobody should be forced to pay for another person’s healthcare anymore than people should be allowed to vote for legislation that takes money from third parties to pay for housing, food, education, and so many other unconstitutional edicts and laws.

The Supreme Court struck down to legal provisions that are related. In the Hobby Lobby case, the Supreme Court ruled that religious organizations should not be forced to comply with a law that is fundamentally a breach of the First Amendment, paying for so-called birth control devices that cause abortions.

The same court also ruled on forced union payments:

“Pam Harris, the lead plaintiff in the landmark Harris v. Quinn case, in which the high court ruled people who care for loved ones in their home can’t be compelled to join the Service Employees International Union, said the ruling was a victory for her son Josh, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder.

“‘It means no third party intrusion, it means that there’s not going to be a union contract inserted between my son and I, there’s not going to be union rules and regulations dictating how I can provide the care that Josh needs,’ she said.”

The Hobby Lobby case and the Harris v. Quinn cases are related. Why should either the government or unions (backed by government) force individuals and businesses to provide services or demand payment for things they are not contracted to provide or do not want to provide? It’s the essence of freedom.

The pro-abortion lobby wants someone else to pay for their bloody business. They talk about a woman has a right to do what she wants with her own body. It seems to me that a person should have a right to do what he or she wants with the money that’s in his for her wallet.

Why should anybody be forced to pay for birth control devices and abortifacients for other people?

If we all paid for our healthcare, the costs would tumble. I’ve seen what offering cash for a medical procedure does.

Pam Harris, the sole care giver for her disabled son, was told by the state of Illinois that she had to join a union based on “an executive order signed by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, which made home healthcare workers state employees, and those state employees must be part of the powerful Service Employees International Union, or SEIU.”

The claim was that Pam Harris was an employee of the state.

What is shocking is that four justices on the court voted to uphold this anti-freedom law. The five-member majority argued otherwise:

“The court ruling handed down today cites the First Amendment and states that ‘… no person in this country may be compelled to subsidize speech by a third party that he or she does not wish to support. The First Amendment prohibits the collection of an agency fee from personal assistants in the Rehabilitation Program who do not want to join or support the union.’”

Again, this is no different from the Hobby Lobby case and healthcare in general. Nobody should be compelled to subsidize what other people do even if it’s the best thing in the world!
