Race is not the same as a particular sexual practice. Identifying as “gay” does not mean that a new sex has been established. Contrary to Rachel Dolezal’s delusion about race and Bruce Jenner’s delusion about gender, people may want to identify as a particular race or a particular gender, but their DNA says otherwise.

The same is true of homosexuality. There is no scientific evidence that people who engage in same-sex sexuality do so because of genetics. Twin studies have buried the myth. People who engage with people of the same sex will never produce offspring. Thus, biology offers evidential feedback on why same-sex sexuality is irrational and unscientific. There is also the disease element among homosexuals.

Even so, liberals defending same-sex marriage are trying to make a moral equivalence argument claiming that opposition to same-sex marriage is the same as opposition to interracial marriage. Here’s one example:

“In an interview with Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Monday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie grilled the Texas Senator on his opposition to the Supreme Court’s gay marriage ruling, equating his stance with being against interracial marriage: ‘…one thing you also said was that you would support a Texas state clerk who refused to issue a license to a gay couple on religious grounds. Let me ask you this, if a state clerk refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple, would you agree with that, too?”

If the interracial couple was a same-sex couple, yes. But it wouldn’t have anything to do with the racial makeup of the couple. Pastors have refused to marry people for any number of reasons, including ongoing sin, issues related to a divorce, whether both are Christians and members of a Bible-believing church. Some pastors require marriage classes before they will marry a couple. Most pastors rarely marry people they do not know.

Why not ask some black pastors if they would marry same-sex couples and whether they believe that such marriages are morally equivalent to interracial marriages. There is a great deal of opposition from the black community on the issue of same-sex marriage and homosexuality in general.

In terms of the Bible, there is no prohibition against people of different races marrying one another. The biblical prohibition is against Christians marrying unbelievers (2 Cor. 6:14-15; 1 Cor. 6:6). But there are numerous biblical prohibitions against same-sex sexuality that would preclude any comparison between homosexuality and race.

What do blacks say? Tony Carter, a member and pastor of East Point Church in Georgia, had this to say on the subject:

“The recent ruling by the SCOTUS is disheartening in many ways. Though we could anticipate this day coming, we nonetheless express regret that our country continues to slide down the slope of moral relativity. Nevertheless, the church must remember that our marching orders don’t come from earthly kings or judges. But rather we put our trust in the one who judges rightly (1 Pet. 2:23). Regardless of what some may be saying, God’s word is not ambiguous on these matters. We must remember ‘The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever’ (Isa. 40:8). Let us continue to stand on it and for it.”

Rev. Bill Owens, president of the Coalition of African-American Pastors (CAAP), said, “I absolutely would not do a gay marriage. Absolutely.”

How about Native Americans? What’s their view on the subject of same-sex marriage?

CNS News reports:

“Tribal laws of the two largest Native American tribes in the United States prohibit gay marriage, as do the laws of nine other smaller tribes.

“The Navajo and Cherokee Nations, the first and second largest tribes respectively, together have about 600,000 members. The nine smaller tribes that ban gay marriage have another 350,000 members. These tribes all either define marriage as between a man and a woman or explicitly prohibit same-sex marriage, according to the Associated Press (AP).”

The media have been advocates for same-sex marriage, and they will do everything in their power to support their immoral, irrational, unconstitutional, and unscientific claim, even playing the race card.
