Everywhere we turn the Democrats are sounding more like Benito Mussolini every day. They’ve become the fascist party. Fascism is a system of government where the party in power forcibly suppresses opposition and criticism.

We’re seeing over the issue of same-sex sexuality, ‘gay rights,’ homosexuality, whatever you want to call it. Any opposition will be shut down, fined, and put out of business. The call for toleration is the foot in the door to political, economic, and social repression, and once the objective has been achieved, toleration discarded. The ideological door is now shut. No more debates, and you will pay if you don’t agree with the fascists.

When designers Domenico Dolce, who identifies as a homosexual and once had a relationship with business partner Stefano Gabbana, spoke out against same-sex “marriage” and surrogacy, Elton John called for a boycott of their business. “Gabbana responded by leaving a one word comment: ‘Fascist.’”

“I wasn’t expecting it,” Gabbana stated. “What’s going on? You preach understanding. You preach tolerance. And then you put the knife in all because someone else doesn’t see things your way? Is that supposed to be a democratic way of thinking? Enlightened? He’s ignorant, in the sense that he denies ways of seeing things that may not be his but are just as deserving of respect.”

Italian politician Roberto Formigoni later entered the war of words with this: “Elton John is a Taliban, he is using against Dolce and Gabbana the same methods used by the Taliban against (the French satirical magazine) Charlie Hebdo.”

Consider this about what Al Gore just said. Keep in mind that when his book An Inconvenient Truth came out, he was pushing global warming. He has since moved the goal posts to encompass climate change, but the fascism is still there:

“For the third time in the last few years, Al Gore, founder and chairman of the Climate Reality Project, spoke at the festival on Friday. Naturally, his interactive discussion focused on addressing the climate crisis. The former vice president focused on the need to ‘punish climate-change deniers, saying politicians should pay a price for rejecting ‘accepted science,’ said the Chicago Tribune.”

“Gore said forward-thinking investors are moving away from companies that invest in fossil fuels and towards companies investing in renewable energy. ‘We need to put a price on carbon to accelerate these market trends,’ Gore told the Chicago Tribune, referring to a proposed federal cap-and-trade system that would penalize companies that exceeded their carbon-emission limits. ‘And in order to do that, we need to put a price on denial in politics.’”

Any scientist who does not agree with the Gorists is not a real scientist and is dismissed by the climate change lobby. The list of Ph.D.-level “climate change deniers” continues to grow because of the science.

Long-term investors will only move away from fossil fuels if the economics and the markets are right for them to make money, especially when their competitors are using cheap energy to help keep expenses down.

Gore knows that companies are governed by market forces or subsidies from the government. This is why Gore is pushing for economic sanctions. He wants to use the State to force companies to use energy sources that are inefficient and costly.

If Gore believes in alternative energy sources, then he should encourage the Millennials who attended the conference to come up with market-drive alternatives. One the government gets involved, innovation stops. There is no incentive to make things better since competition is eliminated.

Study what happened when Robert Fulton was given a 30-year non-compete contract for steamboat transportation on the Hudson granted by the New York State Legislature. Cornelius Vanderbilt defied the monopoly and ran his own line of steamers that lowered costs and offered better service.

Subsidies enabled these government-sanctioned monopolies to function at a higher cost and price to consumers. With no outside competition, there was no reason to update the steamers or offer better service. Vanderbilt’s “The People’s Line,” with no government money or interference, made travel better for everybody. Thomas J. DiLorenzo writes:

“[T]o underscore the challenge to Fulton’s monopoly, Vanderbilt flew a flag on his boats that read NEW JERSEY MUST BE FREE. Slowly he was breaking down the Fulton monopoly, which the US Supreme Court finally ended in 1824, ruling in Gibbons v. Ogden that only the federal government, not the states, could regulate interstate trade under the Commerce Clause of the Constitution. As the cost of steamboat traffic plummeted because of deregulation, the volume of traffic increased significantly and the industry took off. Vanderbilt became the leading market entrepreneur in the industry, but he would continue to face government-subsidized competitors.”1

Gore’s fascist tactics not only won’t make the environment better, they will halt technological innovation, investment, and progress. Fascism is a killer.
