Leftists claim that they are the ideology of compassion, toleration, and acceptance. You can’t be compassionate with other people’s money any more than a bank robber can be compassionate with the money he stole.

This week we’ve seen the further truth of the festering sore that’s Leftism.

First, the death of Alfie Evans. Here’s what one British doctor had to say about Alfie’s forced death:

Forcing 23 month-old Alfie Evans to die by starvation “is not killing,” Dr. Ranj Singh argued on U.K.’s “This Morning” ITV program Friday, Express reports.

Withdrawing life-support and refusing to allow Alfie’s parents to take him home, feed and care for him, is, instead merely “redirecting care,” Dr. Singh said: “This is not the killing of a child – this is redirecting care to make them more comfortable.”

In Alfie’s case, redirecting care to make him “more comfortable” means denying him food, water and life support. Dr. Singh doubled down on his claim, framing the withdrawal of life support as a way to make patients more comfortable and give them “the most dignifying life”: “Withdrawing life support is not killing someone. It is redirecting care to make them more comfortable and give them the most dignifying life that you can.”

Great Britain refused to allow Alfie’s parents to take their child to Italy for treatment at no expense to the British taxpayers. Even so, the government refused.

Think about that for a moment if you are tempted to turn your healthcare decisions over to the government and an unelected bureaucracy. Our government already has too much power over our healthcare.

On the one hand, our government permits women to kill their unborn children, and on the other hand, once that child is born, the government has full control over his or her life. That’s where we are headed if we follow Britain’s so-called “health care” model.

Leftism is all about redefinition. The State didn’t kill him by refusing him care. The State only redirected his care “to make him more comfortable.” Letting a child starve to death is “dignifying life.”

Does any of this sound familiar?

It’s from George Orwell’s 1984 (1948) and his indictment of Engsoc, that is, English Socialism. At the same time Alfie was “dignifying his life” by being denied care by the British government, the British people were celebrating the birth of a new royal baby.

By weakening the independence and strength of individuals’ minds and forcing them to live in a constant state of propaganda-induced fear, the Party is able to force its subjects to accept anything it decrees, even if it is entirely illogical—for instance, the Ministry of Peace is in charge of waging war, the Ministry of Love is in charge of political torture, and the Ministry of Truth is in charge of doctoring history books to reflect the Party’s ideology.

Next up is the Left’s denigration of women that Leftists hate. Only Leftists can hate what it mandates everyone else should love. At the White House Correspondents Association’s annual fundraiser dinner, a so-called comedian denigrated Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a way that made even some Leftists uncomfortable. Here’s a comment from Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large who was in the audience:

Here’s Wolf’s joke about Vice President Mike Pence’s opposition to abortion: “He thinks abortion is murder which, first of all, don’t knock it ’til you try it — and when you do try it, really knock it. You know, you’ve got to get that baby out of there.” Does anyone think this joke is funny? You can hate abortion and think it is murder. You can feel as though it’s not the government’s business what you do with your body and how you handle your own life. But, does anyone celebrate abortion — even jokingly?

Why were these Leftists uncomfortable? Because the comedian expressed what Leftists really think. Yes, Leftists do celebrate abortion.

The comedian said what Leftists don’t want voters to hear. They may dress up in fine gowns and suits, but they are dark and vile on the inside. Jesus described such people as “whited sepulchers which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness” (Matt. 23:27).

Let’s not forget the Fresno State professor who applauded Barbara Bush’s death.

They’re not for women’s rights. They are only for the rights of women who express their view of rightness, that is, full-blown leftism. The same is true of black people. A black person who espouses a conservative point of view is considered whiter than the center of an Oreo cookie. Leftists no longer see a black person, but a black person who has rejected his or her blackness.

Actor Tom Arnold joined with Perez Hilton and Shaun King in attacking conservative black woman Candace Owens over receiving support and admiration from hip-hop artist Kanye West. Both Owens and West have escaped from the liberal plantation. They must be taught a lesson. Where were Leftist blacks after white people like Arnold and Hilton denigrated a black woman with a vile attack? You see, blacks no longer consider Owens and West to be black. They are fair game until they denounce their independent thinking and return to the plantation.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton told Kanye, I’m “so over you” and Shaun King basically called Owens an Uncle Tom and Kanye West a dupe.

When Joy Reid’s articles revealed her true beliefs about homosexuality, Leftists defended her because she’s still on the plantation. As long as she made up stuff about how that’s not what she really believed, or her site was hacked, or she can’t remember ever saying those things, that was enough for her fellow Leftists. She’s still one of them. She apologized. They’ve got her now. She’ll do their bidding.
