Boston Bombers Were Refugees

The early days of American immigration had certain standards for those entering the country.

It was an orderly process. There were designated areas where immigrants were screened. If you check immigration records, you can see dates, names, point of entry, etc. My oldest son is investigating the records of his great-grandparents who immigrated from Italy. He found the Petition for Naturalization for the DeMar side of the Family.

Integration into the American way of life was a high priority. Learning English was a must, even though my grandparents struggled with their new language. On my mother’s side, my grandfather moved the family closer to the city of Pittsburgh with his large family (12 children) for more opportunities.

Immigrants had to make a case for their entry into the United States. There was a process and rules to follow. The vast majority of immigrants embraced the underlying Christian values of the nation.

Can we trust our government to do a thorough screening process? That’s the big question. We’re getting promises, but we’ve given promises before.

How times have changed. The United States is about to change because the standards for immigration have changed. Islamic radicals are using our nation’s very liberal immigration laws to seek entry.

The following is from Front Page Magazine. The entire article is worth your time to read:

“Before 9/11, the trial run for the attack was the World Trade Center bombing. The key figures in that attack, from Ramzi Yousef, the nephew of 9/11 planner Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, to the Blind Sheikh, whose ambitious plans involved bombing New York bridges and tunnels, asked for political asylum.

“Ramzi Yousef showed up with a fake passport and claimed to be an Iraqi refugee seeking political asylum. He was released on his own recognizance and told to show up for a hearing. He never did.

“His co-conspirator, Ahmed Ajaj, went on filing for political asylum even while under arrest for his role in the World Trade Center bombing. Their pals, Mahmud Abouhalima, who routinely told passengers that ‘In Islam, the people are the weapons,’ and Mohammed Salameh, were illegal aliens who had applied for amnesty as agricultural workers. But they didn’t go on to pick lettuce or blueberries.”

Consider that the Boston bombers were “actually ‘poor refugees.’” The Washington Post reported:

“With their baseball hats and sauntering gaits, they appeared to friends and neighbors like ordinary American boys. But the Boston bombing suspects were refugees from another world — the blood, rubble and dirty wars of the Russian Caucasus.”

“Our enemy now is Islamic terrorism, and these people are coming from a country filled with Islamic terrorists,” said Representative Peter T. King, Republican of New York. “We don’t want another Boston Marathon bombing situation.”

The American Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in Washington:

We don’t put it past the likes of ISIL to infiltrate operatives among these refugees… That is a huge concern of ours. … I’m not as uniformly confident about each European country that is going to be faced with welcoming and allowing refugees into their country… This is a huge issue for all kinds of reasons.

The United States no longer has a moral center. In attempt to be trendy, politicians and their leftist idealists have lost their collective minds.
