New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo Tells Conservatives to Leave State

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, and anti-homosexual marriage advocates should leave the state. He calls such Americans “extreme conservatives.” If you live in New York and hold any of these views, this is what your governor thinks of you — “they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

None of this should surprise us since New York City just elected a Marxist mayor. Day by day, Anthony Weiner is looking like the better choice.

Well, it’s certainly what some of New Yorkers are as well as millions of Americans across the United States.

Cuomo says he’s a practicing Catholic. He attends church with his live-in girlfriend, supports abortion on demand, and pushed for the legalization of homosexual marriage. Where is the priest of his parish? Where is the Bishop of his diocese?

His own church is opposed to two out of three of his “not welcome here” stance. Excommunication used to be serious business, especially in the Roman Catholic Church. The governor needs to be taken to the ecclesiastical woodshed.

Explain to me how taking a position against killing unborn babies is an extremist position? Cuomo even describes people opposed to abortion as “conservatives who are right-to-life.” Right to life. That’s right, the right of an unborn baby to live securely in his mother’s womb until he or she is born. He calls it “extremism” to vote in terms of the reality of unborn babies. Who’s the real extremist here?

New York mayor Bill de Blasio is equally extreme. Kirsten Andersen at Lifesite News reported the following:

“New York City has been called ‘the abortion capital of the world.’ The city has some of the laxest restrictions and the highest abortion rate in the country, with 41 percent of its pregnancies ending in elective termination. According to New York Magazine, 10 percent of all U.S. abortions happen in the state of New York, and seven out of ten abortions in the state take place in New York City.

“But those statistics aren’t high enough for newly elected Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio, who claims the city is ‘underserved’ by its dozens of abortion centers, and for whom increased access to abortion was a key part of his campaign platform.”

In New York City, “41 percent of pregnancies end in abortion.” But it’s going to get worse for the unborn. In addition to opening more unborn baby killing centers, de Blasio “also pledged to help abortionists wipe out their main competition – pro-life crisis pregnancy centers – which he refers to as ‘sham’ clinics. These centers offer women financial and logistical assistance to either keep their babies or place them with adoptive families.”

Then there’s the governor’s pro same-sex marriage position. But I guess he would be open to any kind of sexual relationship since he has a live-in girl friend. Why even bother with marriage since doesn’t practice it.

So who are the real extremists?

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isa. 5:20).
